Designed with her family at the center - including her partner Tom and their two children - Angelica's home has a palpable energy – one of warmth, love, and appreciation for aesthetics.
Finding home in Swedish nature
"Family drew us here," Angelica explains as she welcomes us into her home. "Now we all live together!" The stunning surroundings – calming forest landscapes with a backdrop of glistening blue waters - seem reason enough to want to call this area home.
Designing a harmonious home
Angelica describes her interior style as "nostalgic and warm with a focus on nature and light." Every element in her home is carefully considered, designed to create an environment that “gives me peace of mind.” While every room has its charm, the kitchen holds a special place in Angelica’s heart, in part due to a sentimental piece of furniture that takes centre stage. "Our large brown cabinet in the heart of our home—the kitchen. I've told its story a few times - it's the piece of furniture I cherish the most at home."
Intuitive art selection
When it comes to selecting art for her home, Angelica takes a precise approach. "Everything is meticulously planned at home!" she shares. Her process is an intuitive search for the perfect piece to achieve a harmonious balance. "You know when you've found the right piece; it resonates throughout your body."
The art in Angelica's home reflects her desire to create a warm energy. "Art should feel natural, like it has always been there. It should blend in and convey a good feeling." She loves canvas art in particular, explaining, "I love canvas prints - they feel like real paintings."
Angelica’s design philosophy
Central to Angelica's design philosophy is creating a space that feels deeply personal yet welcoming. When asked how her home would describe her, she laughs, "that I'm a completely crazy but fun person who loves life."
While she considers the kitchen the heart of the home, the living room is also a space that personifies what she loves. When asked what piece of furniture describes her, she laughs, "A sofa! So I can get lots of company and cuddles."
A forever evolving style
Angelica acknowledges that her home is a work in progress. "It has to be perfect, and I'm still not where I want to be, but maybe halfway there. I have much bigger visions but take it one day at a time."
