Behind the Art: Magnolia Study
In the Stockholm Atelier, one of our artists used oil paints to create a piece with notable depth in Magnolia Study. The artist chose to amplify the brightness of the paint by using a red base colour and then painting over it with light green. This layering of opposite colours creates a dynamic and vivid depth to the painting.
Curious Optimism sparks creativity and conversation

Behind the Art: Geometric Rhythm
The surprising choice of colours in Geometric Rhythm is set to be a big trend for this season. Creating a design with light olive green, light blue and burgundy required painting thick layers of paint to make sure they contrast was both full and vibrant enough to match the artist’s vision. It’s these colours, together with the square format that make this piece feels so fresh.

Behind the Art: Red Haze
Making Red Haze involved using many different shades of red paint and different kinds of brushstrokes. While larger areas of pigment were built up using flat brushes, the deeper shades of red were applied with a lighter touch and a longer brush to create a lighter sense of movement in the piece.
